Along the way, learn about native plants and animals and the Cutler Burial Mound.\nDeering Contemporary Exhibition “Interlocking Dimensions: Eco-Art”\nDeering Contemporary Program:Weaving With Plants Workshop with PANGEA KALI VIRGA11 a.m.Location: Pump House and Fig GardenJoin local fiber artist and fashion designer Pangea Kali Virga to learn basic weaving with plants at the Deering Estate. Learn how to create your own weaving using materials harvested at the Deering Estate such as palm fronds, vines, and leaves. Leave with your own weaving to take home! This workshop is welcome to all ages with all materials being provided. The Plant Weaving Workshop corresponds with Pangea’s installation All Material Comes From The Earth, currently on view as part of the Deering Contemporary exhibition Interlocking Dimensions: Eco-Art.
