Whether you are an expert or a first-time birder, you can help create a snapshot of avian populations and provide critical information for future conservation efforts just by reporting what you see and hear. It’s free, it’s fun, and it makes a difference!\nSpend time in Miami-Dade Parks watching birds and then tell us about them! Deering Estate is part of the Biscayne Bay IBA (Important Bird Area)  and the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail (GFBWT), a 2,000-mile, self-guided trail traversing 500 sites located throughout Florida selected for their excellent bird watching, wildlife viewing and educational opportunities.\nIn as little as 15 minutes, you can observe the birds around you. Then identify, count, and submit them to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world.
