Katharine McDonald is a recent addition to the Deering Estate Foundation Board. She retired from Assurant Inc. in Cutler Bay after 35 years. She also proudly serves on the Board of Zoo Miami Foundation. She has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Florida International University.
Katharine and her husband David are both Miami natives and raised their two children here, with an appreciation of the beauty of South Florida and the need to protect its fragile ecosystem.
